My pro cousin has been my go-to teacher when needed lol. I’ve been doing my hair for years but certainly not a pro. Adding the color while you’re lifting with the 30 or 40 I wouldn’t personally do and I don’t think you’re going to get too much color deposit and might just waste the color? So after your desired level of lift, I suggest mixing your color of choice with 10 volume for deposit. This might’ve not answered your question entirely but I wanted to be sure you know that 30 & 40 volume developers are going to BLEACH even just alone without any color or powder. Now I’m going much lighter than you so obv you’d need to get to your desired lift. Then I use a toner of choice with a volume 10. I’ll do a 2nd round if it didn’t lift enough - I usually do 2, I’m blond. I use generic Sally’s powdered bleach with 20 volume and time to my desired lift. The higher the volume and the longer the time - the higher the lift. No matter what the developer is going to bleach your hair. I hope someone more knowledgeable helps but I’ll tell you what I know.
